Oh and by the way
One trillion seconds of ordinary clock time =
( 1012 sec)/( 3.16 x 107 sec/yr) = 31,546 years!

What this is all about?
I have, over the last couple years, become more and more involved in the online blog and video communities. The whole experience has been fun, purging and enlightening. Here you will find my occasional political or social diatribe. Here you will also find links to my videos and to things that I think are funny, thoughtful or just plain silly. Feel free to comment and post if you feel so inclined

I'm not pretending to know the full story of the health care system in the States. So I could have the wrong end of the stick. But it seems to me, coming from Australia where a medicare system has been in place for most of my life, it does ease the pain in the wallet. It costs! So from one system to the other, that polarise each other, is an extreme.

My reservations have more to do with the country affording the massive debt load that we already have, along this huge new entitlement program.
Oh and by the way the new program only covers a small percentage of the people who don't have insurance now. The rest of us will remain on the same broken system, with a few minor modifications. The government has already proven that it can't manage the money properly. Working Americans already pay an average of 35% tax on all of their income by way of various taxes, fees and withholdings (not to mention the hidden taxes). In some states as much as 60%.
I see no way that this new system can be enacted without increasing the burden on ALL Americans. Any one that says any different has their head buried in the sand.
The devil you know and all of that..
Thanks for checking out my rants!
